The homeowners owned a beautiful island property in the Georgian Bay region of Ontario. They enlisted Murakami Design, a design and architectural firm based out of Toronto, who had designed numerous other cottages in the region, to develop a conceptual design. Normerica was then contacted by the homeowners and architect to engineer and manufacture the design as a complete timber frame building system. The homeowners engaged Tamarack North Ltd., a local builder with whom Normerica had worked with on other projects, to construct the building. The result of this collaboration is nothing short of breathtaking.
