A Collaborative and Dynamic Process – Designed to impress and built to last, this striking structure sets the tone for what’s to come.

The concept for the building originated with the client’s architecture team from VFA Architecture + Design. A steel framed shop on one side and a cozy timber frame living space on the other, with a showstopping “gate way” to connect the two.

What started as a conversation of how to incorporate timber frame into the design evolved into a collaborative and creative design process. Under the architectural oversight of VFA, Normerica developed the architectural and structural drawings for the building while also supplying the prefabricated timber frame and the wall and roof systems for the timber frame portion of the building.

This project showcases our design-assist approach, combining architectural intent with onsite experience and our expertise in timber frame and high-performance building envelopes.
